Designed to cater to a wide audience of smartphone users, the new mAadhaar app enables Aadhaar holders to carry a digital version of their information, eliminating the need for a physical copy. Main Features of mAadhaar Application

Multilingual Features: The menu, button labels, and form fields within the application are not only available in English but also offered in 12 Indian languages. This ensures that Aadhaar Services are easily accessible to citizens across India who speak various languages, including Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. 

Upon installation, users have the flexibility to choose their preferred language. However, it's important to note that the input fields on the forms only accept data in English. This decision is aimed at assisting users in overcoming challenges associated with typing in regional languages due to limitations in mobile keyboards.

Universality: The app is open for download on smartphones for residents, irrespective of whether they possess an Aadhaar or not. However, to avail personalized Aadhaar services, residents must register their Aadhaar Profile on the app. Mobile users with Aadhaar can utilize the services not only for themselves but also extend assistance to other residents in need of Aadhaar-related support or associated matters.

mAadhaar Mobile Services: Users of mAadhaar can access a range of services, not only for themselves but also for residents in need of Aadhaar assistance. The key functionalities of the mobile app include:

1. Main Service Dashboard: Direct access to download Aadhaar, place reprint orders, update addresses, download offline eKYC, scan QR codes, verify Aadhaar and email addresses, and retrieve UID/EID. Users can also request an address validation letter.

2. Request Status Service: Residents can check the status of their online requests made on the portal.

3. My Aadhaar: This personalized section allows Aadhaar holders to lock/unlock their Biometric Authentication. Users need to provide their Aadhaar number to access these services.

Aadhaar Locking: Users can lock their UID/Aadhaar number conveniently through the mobile application.

Biometric Locking/Unlocking: The application enables users to secure biometric authentication by activating a biometric locking system. Once activated, the resident's biometric data remains locked until the Aadhaar holder chooses to unlock or disable the system.

TOTP Generation: Time-based One-time Passwords (TOTP) are automatically generated, offering an alternative to SMS-based OTP.

Profile Update: Users can view their updated profile after the completion of a profile update request.

Multi-profile Aadhaar Services on SMS: Aadhaar cardholders can include up to five profiles with the registered mobile number in their profile section.

Locate the Enrollment Centre: This feature helps individuals find the nearest Enrollment center based on their residential area.

How to Link Your Aadhaar Number Using mAadhaar Application

1. Launch the mAadhaar app.
2. Navigate to the main dashboard and click on the "Register Aadhaar Tab" button.
3. Establish a 4-digit PIN or password for added security.
4. Input accurate Aadhaar information and the provided captcha code.
5. Successfully complete the OTP verification process and submit the details.
6. Confirm that the profile registration is successful.
7. Locate the registered profile tab, where the name of the registered profile will now be visible.
8. Select the "My Aadhaar App" option from the available choices.
9. Set up a new 4-digit PIN or password.
10. You now have access to the My Aadhaar Dashboard.

How Can Residents See the App’s Profiles?

1. Open the app on your device.
2. Locate and select the Aadhaar profile tab positioned at the bottom of the main dashboard.
3. Input the 4-digit password or PIN that was generated during the profile registration process.
4. Once authenticated, you'll have access to view the front side of the Aadhaar. If you navigate to the left, the rear side becomes visible.
5. Continue leftward to explore additional profiles if applicable.
